Who I am:

The Mendy Man is a sole trader offering a service for repairing and maintaining laundry and washing equipment for domestic use.

The following manufacturers are repaired but my services aren’t limited to:

Hotpoint, Whirlpool, Beko, Blomberg, Bosch, Candy, Indesit, Hoover, Zanussi, Electrolux, Siemens, Neff, Miele and other brands.

The following machine types are covered:

Washing machines, washer dryers, tumble dryers, dish washers, Cookers/Ovens/Hobs, vacuum cleaners and other small house hold and electrical garden appliances.

Intergrated and semi intergrated appliances are charged the same call out.

Gas and other equipment needing any form of supply like gas or LPG, I do not work on.

Parts

General Parts;

All parts have a warranty of 30 days from the supplier.

Parts that are specially ordered are generally not able to be returned once ordered.

Due to this, the customer or tenant (or the person who is paying for the repair) will either have to pay for the part(s) either in part or in full depending on either, the frequency of the part(s) being needed or the part(s) return policy with the supplier and stocking fees if applicable.

Generally parts will be paid for when they have been fitted unless they are special order or considered expensive, then full or part payments might be taken prior to ordering them.

Faulty parts:

If a part does becomes faulty and it isn’t due to misuse of the appliance, the part will be replaced for free depending on the time from when the repair was carried out and the cost of the part.

If there is a problem and it is not caused by the part(s) fitted, this will equate as a new call and a full call out most likely be issued.

Depending on the period of when the repair was carried out, the call out fee might be paid in part (reduced) or paid in full depending on the job required and accessibility of the repair.

Supplied Only Parts:

Parts that are being supplied only to the customer (not being fitted by my myself), any warranty on these parts will not be given as the fitting and workmanship quality is unknown. These parts will not hold any value and will not be able to be returned, nor refunded due to this.

If, afterwards, the customer does then get the machine booked in for inspection/repair, any previously bought parts will not be acknowledged and will be classed as a new call.

These parts, if still in working order (being fitted or not) will be inspected by myself and the fitting or correct parts/work needing to be carried out will take place.

Payments

Call Out Fees:

Call out fees are to be paid on the 1st (first) visit unless otherwise stated or arranged.

These fees may vary depending on the time of day, time to do the job and the job complexity.

Fees can change with out notice so for up-to-date prices, please get in touch via the listed methods on the ‘Contact‘ page.

For customers with two machines needing repair or servicing at the same time (without a solo visit for the second machine), I most likely will reduce the call out fee for the second machine if I am there already on a or planning to visit the property.

Reduced Call outs may be given depending on the duration of how long I attend any machine.

Reduced call outs will only be given if;

The initial (1st visit) is less than proximately 30 minutes and no return visit is required.

If parts are unlisted, are unable to be found or I am unable to check the parts list (eg: no internet access.) at that time and the time on site is less than 30 minutes, a reduced call out might be paid depending on the parts. If there is any doubt I will need to return, a full call out fee will be issued.

Payments:

Acceptable payments are via either Cash, cheque or direct bank transfer.

I do not take card payments or take any form of payments over the phone or though any other means besides in person or arranged in person (EG: Bank transfer time arranged).
